Today marks a big step for us. While more and more components of drumbeam arrive at our office and we estimate, that we can finally start production mid may: we’ve officially sent out the final beta version of drumbeams firmware and app to our group of dedicated beta testers across Europe. This is the last testing phase before we head into full production.

What Makes This Version “Final”?
Over the past months, we’ve collected feedback from early testers, refined the firmware, adjusted materials, tweaked the sensor, and optimized every detail—from the striking surface over the preset buttons to the internal components and the read out algorithms.
This “final beta” version includes:
- Updated sensor calibration for improved accuracy
- New firmware features based on tester feedback
- A complete design & functional overhaul of our configuration app
- New preset management functions
- General stability fixes & better power handling
- Different velocity curves and the possibility to manually set sensitivity
- ... many subtle changes and improvements

Why Testing Still Matters
Even though we’re almost ready for the production line, we want to test drumbeam in a real world scenario, before we assemble the production units. Our beta testers are not just checking for bugs—they're exploring how drumbeam fits into their real-life setups, workflows, and creative routines.
This feedback is invaluable. It helps us catch the final edge cases, polish the experience, and make sure that when drumbeam reaches your hands, it just works—and inspires.
Huge Thanks to Our Testers
We owe a special thank you to our beta testers: Your feedback, time, curiosity, and honesty have shaped this instrument in countless ways. We’re incredibly grateful to have you on board.
We're nearly there.
Thanks for being part of this journey.
